In just the past couple of days, we've encountered new listings or sales of multi-million-dollar estates. It's always interesting to see how the ultra-rich live, so I thought I'd share a few details about a couple.
First, we'll look at one in Bellair. It's on the market for $6.995 million. It's NOT on the waterfront, but it does have 4 acres of land.
From the Times:
The estate has "water features'' including ponds and what is described as an "oversized'' pool with multiple fountains. Also on the gated grounds are a tennis court, shuffleboard court, outdoor bar and a glass-walled gymnasium with sauna and steam room.
Inside, the two-story home has four bedrooms, 61/2 baths, a large aquarium, a media room and a seven-car garage.
But you know what? That pales in comparison with one that recently sold in Palm Beach.
An estate that includes both beach and lakefront access recently sold for $33 million, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. And it had never been lived in.
From the News:
With 21,352 square feet of living space, inside and out, the eight-bedroom house was sold through a limited liability company. The lot measures nearly 2 acres and has about 200 feet of waterfront on both the beach and the Lake Worth Lagoon.
The layout includes an oceanfront master suite, a VIP suite and a 14-car garage. Among the outdoor features are two swimming pools, a barbecue area on the east, a summer kitchen on the west and “entertaining loggias” overlooking the tennis court.
Now that, friends, is an estate.
